16 March 2022

Week 7 is Harmony Week and our message is “Everyone Belongs,” which is so pertinent in these tough times. I must admit I have been steering away from the news as it is so hard to believe what is happening in the Ukraine. Closer to home, the floods reinforce the ongoing concerns around climate change, with so many families displaced from their homes. It puts our current challenges into perspective. In response to this, our Student Councillors have decided to celebrate Harmony Day on Friday with a fundraiser, raising money for World Vision and flood relief. With a donation of a gold coin the students have the option to wear orange or dress in National Costumes. We would love to see as many students and parents involved as possible.

The assembly will be streamed by our resident Steven Spielberg (Mr Carder) and will include performances from many of our students. So, channel your inner orange and rock up on Friday for a worthy cause.

 Reporting to Parents

Due to restrictions in place, we could not conduct the Information evenings outlined in the Reporting to Parents policy. There is an ongoing invitation for parents to schedule interviews with teachers upon request, to discuss student achievement and progress. Many parents have already taken the opportunity via phone, Zoom or by email. Interviews will be also scheduled for the commencement of Term 3.

Footy is Back and we are ready for it!

Our year 1 & 2 students have been enjoying footy clinics provided by East Fremantle.
