Last Friday our year 6 cohort gave us a monumental assembly – 14 songs! The entire group took us through a journey in time through song and dance. We have a talented group of students who were responsible for the choreography, singing and multimedia production.

Lisa O’Malley, MLA, Member for Bicton, dropped into the school last Friday to look at our new nature play area. Mrs O’Malley was instrumental in securing funding for this amazing resource.  Mrs Gorringe, Emma, Isobel, Adelaide, Alex and Tait from room 0 presented Mrs O’Malley with a thank you booklet. Our pre-primary students showed her what they love to do in the new area, and she was very happy to join in the bridge making and digging for shells in the stream. A big thank you to Mrs O’Malley.

Twenty-seven students competed in the annual Year 4 and 5 West Coast Fever Netball Cup on Wednesday 3rd November, organised and run by the specialist netball students of Melville Senior High School.  Richmond competed against several teams from Caralee and Melville Primary Schools across two divisions. I am pleased to announce Richmond were the winners of one division as well as coming second in both divisions. A fantastic achievement. The following students were selected in the All-Star team- Maya C, Isabelle W, Paige G and Rohan S-R. We would like to thank the parents who assisted with transport of the teams and who supported our teams on the day. Mr Rob Thorogood, PE teacher.
