Newsletter T2 Week 1

Kaya

What a great start to Term 2.

You may have noticed some changes around our school.

The new transportable classroom has arrived and is on the courts next to Room 14. The new classroom will be known as Room 15.

Room 15 students and their teacher – Mrs Button, are in the process of transitioning from their temporary term one classroom in the Art room to their new permanent classroom.

Our Art teachers are ecstatic to have a designated Art room once more. No more pushing an art trolley or juggling art supplies around the school! Despite not having use of the Art room in term one, some incredible artworks were produced by students.

The senior students have received their ‘Leavers Shirts and Jackets’ and are wearing them with pride.

School Photos

There has been a delay with the final proofing. Once we receive the photos, they will be distributed to students. We expect to receive them in a few weeks.

Give a Damn. Give a Can Appeal

Fremantle Rotary Club are running their ‘Give a Damn. Give a Can’ Appeal.

They have asked if our school community could help out by donating non-perishable food items.

The appeal will run for two weeks – Monday 1 May – Friday 12 May.

We will have two collection points. One will be at the kindy and the other in the front office.

Donations go to St Pat’s Community Centre and are used to assist local individuals and families experiencing homelessness or hardship in our community.

Enrolments for Kindy 2024

Applications have opened to apply for Kindy enrolment for 2024. Students born between 01 July 2019 – 30 June 2020 can attend Kindy in 2024.

Please see the following link for information and Application to Enrol forms Enrolments – Richmond Primary School (richmondps.wa.edu.au)

Enrolments for Pre-primary 2024

Due to Education Department requirements, students currently in Kindy will need to enrol again for Pre-primary. This must be a complete application. We will ask for these to be submitted later in the year once we’ve finished processing Kindy applications.

Fridays in the Canteen are getting busier. Thank you to the Parent Volunteers from Room 8 who helped today!

Once again, a very big thank you, on behalf of the entire school community to the P&C 2020/2022 for their amazing fundraising efforts that have ensured this upgrade has come to life!
