Newsletter Term 3 Week 7

Education Assistant Appreciation Week

We are so fortunate to have a team of Education Assistants at Richmond that are committed to students and support in all arears of the teaching program. From taking small groups for work to supporting students with individual needs, they are as professional as any I have worked with (and I have been around for a while). This week has been an opportunity to recognise the contribution they make to our school and our staff culture in general. On behalf of the wider School Community, I thank you all and let you know we value your collective efforts.

Tracy Cammarano & Tracey Smith in our Kindy classes, and Liz Hepworth, Paige Breen, Rose Nockolds, Trish Swainson, Mel Daly, Kellie Regnard and Narelle Sachman at the ‘Big School’.

Narelle is currently on leave, and we look forward to her returning as soon as possible.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all our Relief Education Assistants who have worked with our students and teachers this year.

Richmond’s Got Talent

Congratulations to all the students who auditioned for Richmond has Talent and all the finalists who performed magnificently at today’s concert. There were a variety of acts including singing, dance, comedy and instrumental. The audience was engaged from the start of the concert, with stars in the eyes of our Pre –primary students. The Student Councillors gave up their time over the past few Fridays at lunchtime to judge all the auditions and finals and comparing the assembly. Thanks also go out to Mr Tifflin and a team of parent volunteers.

Father’s Day

To all the Richmond Dads & Father Figures, we would like to wish you all a great day on Sunday and invite you all to a before school/music assembly coffee next Friday, at school. I have gone into bat for all the dads by reminding the students that Father’s Day covers the entire day not just a cup of tea and toast in the morning. Have a ripping day with the family!

Go Power

With the start of the AFLW season we would like to wish some of our ex-students representing East Freo Ower all the best this weekend in the U14 District Final when they take South Coogee. The team is coached by Rich Lilley with Saibh L, Sofia L, Emma T, Ruby K, Ava D and Sunny Mc M. Hopefully they get a win and set the tone for the East Fremantle WALF team who are also in the finals this year.
