House Athletics Carnival 2023
Todays House Athletics Carnival was outstanding community event. Congratulations to all students who competed in the spirit of our school values, Mr Thorogood and all the staff, our P & C and Year 6 Parents. Richmond P & C
Keeping the best interests of the Richmond Primary School kids at heart is what the P&C is all about! We are a group of parent volunteers creating community events & raising funds towards school initiatives to improve to learning & community environment for all of the students.
Your P&C Voluntary Contribution of $75 a child or $200 a family are donated directly back to the Richmond Primary School. These funds are used by the school towards many annual school costs including but not limited to:
- Reading Eggs $4500.00 per annum
- Computer Licenses $15000.00 per annum
- Awards & Trophies $2500.00 per annum
The P&C also work alongside Richmond Primary School for guidance & understanding of improvements or items that the school would “wish” to have! This year the refurbishment of the Flexible Learning Space became the P&C’s number one fundraising goal…with a total cost of
We have currently raised over $5600 towards the refurbishment of the Flexible Learning Space & also received a grant thanks to our Committee Member – Brooke Tideswell from The East Fremantle Town Council for $1000! A big THANKYOU to Brooke & The East Fremantle Town Council!!!
The total cost of the Flexible Learning Space is $9229.00…We still need to raise a little bit more!
There are only a few more events being planned for 2023! It would be amazing to reach our fundraising target for this year & with our parent community support we can absolutely achieve this goal.
Garden Busy Bee Sunday September 17
Year 6 2023 Graduation Photos Monday!
Graduation photos will be taken on Monday 18th September 9am. Please wear your Leavers shirts.
Year 6 parents can you please advise the front office for Orientation Days that your child will be attending.
Wide Brimmed School Hats
We should have delivery of the wide brimmed hats next week. We’ll send a Connect notification when they are ready to be collected front office.
P & C Sausage Sizzle Saturday September 23
Throughout this year our hard-working P&C have been fundraising for the Flexible Learning Space/Steam Room project.
Currently, the funds raised this year from the Hot Cross Bunraiser, Art Tea Towels and East Fremantle Community Grant have all been put towards this, leaving the P&C with about $1500 to fundraise towards this space.
Our next Fundraiser is the Bunnings Sausage Sizzle on Saturday, 23 September at Melville Bunnings.
The P&C are asking for a few more parent volunteers to help out.
P & C Quiz Night Friday November 10
The 2023 Richmond Parents Music Quiz night is fast approaching, so gather your table of 10 parents and start thinking of a music theme for your table! Booking info to follow shortly… only 170 ticket available.
Donations and sponsorship (no matter how small), are key to making our quiz night a huge success. This can be anything from a bottle of wine to go in a hamper, a voucher or a weekend away at your holiday house etc.
All funds raised are going directly to the school to improve facilities & provide more resources for the kids.

Calming Minds
The next course will begin Week 2 Term 4 Thursday 19th October after school, session one 3:10pm -4:10pm and session two 4:25pm -5:25pm in the library.
To get your child involved in this programme it will be first in best dressed, a bookings link is on the note. Sign up directly through Calming Minds not through school.
This programme is proven current evidence-based research, mindfulness and mediation supports the overall wellbeing; physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally and covers the themes of Mindfulness, Positive Self-Talk, Trust, Gratitude, Emotions, Resilience, Connection and Love.
Better Health
Better Health Company are continuing to deliver their FREE evidence-based healthy lifestyle programs for Term 4, in partnership with WA department of Health.
- Active8 for children aged 2-5 years
- The Better Health Program for children aged 6-12 years who are above a healthy weight.
Both programs:
- Provide families with weekly support from qualified health professionals.
- Provide practical resources to support healthy behaviour change and interactively weekly sessions.
- Focus on healthy eating, being active and making small healthy habits.
- Are FREE for eligible families
- Are delivered either online or in-person at local community venues.
