Principal’s Update

We are sending out an early and brief ‘Principals Update’ due to the Public Holiday tomorrow.

It has been a busy and frequently wet term, with many highlights including Book Week, NAIDOC Week and the recent Athletics Carnival. Again, we would like to thank ALL our volunteers who helped with the catering and coffee last Friday.

School Survey

The School Board are very keen to have the results of the recent survey out to the wider school community prior to holidays; with a big thank you to all parents who took time to respond. Please click here for the Summary Report.

We can celebrate many aspects of the feedback and will work collaboratively with the School Board so that the next strategic plan for the school ensures a continued sense of community, and that opportunities for students are our ongoing priority.

Information Sessions

I would like to invite Parent Reps and other interested parents to an information session to outline planning for next term and next year. These sessions will be held in the first week of next term, on the following dates and times. Please pick a session that suits you and email Lara to advise which session you would like to attend. lara.carter@education.wa.edu.au

The Great Vegie Crunch

Today, we all enjoyed a visit from the ‘Vegie Man’ as we shared our yummy vegie ‘Crunch & Sip just before recess.

Thank you to Anita for organising all the amazing produce and to our staff and students for cutting up and distributing all our vegie cups and platters.

Footy Colours Fundraiser

This Friday we will have our annual Footy Colours Fundraiser.

Students can wear their sports team colours or uniform of choice. This event is a gold coin donation fundraiser and proceeds go to the Fight Cancer Foundation.

Our Amazing Students

Congratulations to one of our junior primary students. She raised over $1000 for MS Readathon.

We have also heard about the fantastic cleaning efforts by some of our Richmond families. They spent last Thursday afterschool cleaning up rubbish down by the river.

One of the parents commented that the children displayed such enthusiasm to help and genuine concern for the environment.

We love hearing stories about our students endeavours outside of school.

If you see a student displaying our school virtues out in the community, we would love to hear what they’ve been doing. If you would like to nominate one of them for Aussie of The Month, please click here for a nomination form or email us: richmond.ps@education.wa.edu.au

REMINDERS

Please ensure you’ve checked lost property before the end of the day on Friday. All un-named uniform items will go to our recycled uniform store and all un-named non uniform items will be sent to a local charity shop.

This Friday, the crossing guard on Canning Highway near Windsor Road will be away. The crossing will be unattended before and after school.

The first day of Term 4 for students is Tuesday 11 October.

Permission notes are due for the following incursions and excursions. Notes have been handed to all students participating in these activities.

Kindy – The Music Circle

Year 6 – School Camp

Girls Multi Sports (selected students)

I would like to wish everyone a wonderful holiday with family and friends, and we look forward to a busy and fun end of the year.
