The Richmond PS P&C Association meets twice a term. One meeting is a general meeting, the other an executive committee meeting. Meeting dates are advertised in the schedule of school events on the website and minutes are emailed to all financial members and are available on request.
The P&C focusses on building community and fundraising. The committee organizes a series of community events throughout the year including, but not limited to;
- Family breakfasts
- Student disco
- Family outdoor movie and arts night
- Mums’ social event
- Quiz night for parents (or similar)
The P&C operates a number of sub committees:
Dads of Richmond Kids: This group of dads runs a number of events each year designed to include dads in their children’s education and to build relationships between dads. The group operates under the umbrella of The Fathering Project. Events include for example a dads and kids camp; billy cart race, bike ride and bowls night.
Arts Committee: The Arts group take on arts projects around the school. Recently they have designed a name plate for the canteen, helped coordinate a banner for the Town of East Fremantle, helped mount exhibitions of student work and coordinated a mosaic artist to make a name plate for the school.
Kitchen Garden: The P&C funds a paid member to run a gardening and cooking program; seed to plate, every Friday for all students to learn about growing their own food. This group helps to run school gardening club and to maintain the kitchen garden.
Canteen: The P&C funds two paid members to operate the canteen as manager and assistant manager. The P&C oversees all canteen operations.
Class Parent Reps: The P&C coordinates a parent representative in each classroom who assists the P&C with events related to that class such as cake stalls, social events, leavers’ shirts, fundraising and ANZAC flowers.
School Banking program: The P&C runs a school banking program before school on Tuesdays outside the library.

1. President; Vice-president; Treasurer; Secretary; plus 3 x executive committee positions
2. Committee Coordinators – Arts; Nature Play; DoRKS
3. Program Coordinators – Scholastic Bookclub; Loyalty programs; School Banking
4. One-off jobs! – kindy T towels, entertainment books, PP plates, other ideas…
5. P&C Reps – at WACSSO; on the School Council; in each class (class parent reps)
6. Honorary Auditor for 2018 books
